Val Kelly is a superstar!

There is a micro conference that takes place in November in Washington DC, filled with talent and inspiration (btw: the next one is November 2018)

This year I got to go along and I had a ball!

I arrived in DC, for the first time, and, as an experienced traveller was thrilled to find DC Airport lived up to the international airport standard; I found my hotel bus, checked in and went to bed.

The following morning, serendipity allowed to make new friends; Dan Friedman and Herb Moore escorted me on a tour of DC, for what was one of the best days ever!

I then spent 72 hours indulging in VO, meeting some amazing speakers: Nicola Richards (#NicolaSaid), Jason Linere White, Sean Pratt, Sarah Sherman, David Gold. Not to mention the talent: Bob Souer, Machelle Williams, Brad Hyland and catching up with my favourite internet friend Jill Cofsky.

We talked about inspiration (#getinspired), narration (non-fiction not non-acting), motivation (keep going, don’t give up), animation (Disney!), implementation and representation (Eric!), interpretation and auditioning (GVAA).

I left DC, invigorated, enthused and armed with information and insight that I am going to put into practice. Here goes!
